Analysis of AVG signals
Musil, Václav ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The presented thesis discusses the basic analysis methods of arteriovelocitograms. The core of this work rests in classification of signals and contribution to possibilities of noninvasive diagnostic methods for evaluation patients with peripheral ischemic occlusive arterial disease. The classification employs multivariate statistical methods and principles of neural networks. The data processing works with an angiographic verified set of arteriovelocitogram dates. The digital subtraction angiography classified them into 3 separable classes in dependence on degree of vascular stenosis. Classification AVG signals are represented in the program by the 6 parameters that are measured on 3 different places on each patient’s leg. Evaluation of disease appeared to be a comprehensive approach at signals acquired from whole patient’s leg. The sensitivity of clustering method compared with angiography is between 82.75 % and 90.90 %, specificity between 80.66 % and 88.88 %. Using neural networks sensitivity is in range of 79.06 % and 96.87 %, specificity is in range of 73.07 % and 91.30 %.
Effect of rehabilitation on the prolongation of claudication interval in patients with peripheral arterial disease
Beneš, Daniel ; Knoppová, Tereza (advisor) ; Kaufman, Jan (referee)
Ischemic disease of the lower limb is classified as a cardiovascular disease. Althrought cardiovascular diseases are easily preventable, they are the most common cause of death in the European Union, where they count almost half of the total mortality. Cardiovascular diseases are also common cause of many other life complication such as immobilization, psychological problems and others. This group of diseases also puts a significant burden on the health system and a financing of a healthcare, as they are relatively frequent and costly diseases. The objective of this thesis is to find out whether five months of exercise has an effect on a prolonging the claudication interval in patients with ischemic disease of the lower limbs. Other objectives are to find out if the results will be seen after 2 months from the start, and if men will react differently to exercise than women. Method: 9 patients, 5 men and 4 women in the aged from 50 to 74 years took part in the study. The patients suffered from ischemic disease of the lower limbs II b (according to Fontain). These were also patients from the vascular clinic at the Vysočanská Polyclinic. I had total of 6 individual sessions with each patient, in each of which I did approximately thirty minutes of therapy with the patient, and afterwards we measured...
Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis of Left-Sided Above-Knee Amputation
Citová, Adéla ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with Diagnosis of Left-Sided Above-Knee Amputation. Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the theoretical knowledge and rehabilitation care of a patient with this diagnosis, as well as a case study of a patient with this diagnosis. Method: This study is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains the lower limb functional anatomy, theoretical information about lower limb ischemic disease, about amputations, rehabilitation options after amputation and options of prosthesis. It also includes an evaluation of the effects of therapeutic procedures. The practical part contains a case study of a patient after left-sided above-knee amputation. This part includes the entrance examination, the course of therapy, the final examination and the evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: The therapy described in the practical part of this study was able to verticalize the pacient and manage to walk with prosthesis on a french crutches. Overall, the therapy has led to an improvement of patient's condition. Key words: Amputation, Lower limbs, Lower limb ischemic disease, Physiotherapy, Prosthetics
Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of the Patient with the Diagnosis of Unilateral Above - Knee Amputation
Koudelová, Martina ; Stupková, Michaela (advisor) ; Hankovcová, Eva (referee)
Title: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of the Patient with the Diagnosis of Unilateral Above - Knee Amputation. Objectives: Summary of theoretical knowledge on the issue of amputation and processing of case study of the patient with the diagnosis of unilateral below knee amputation. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The general part includes the literature review of anatomy and kinesiology. The research furthermore investigates the problematic of amputations and prothesis, where it is focused on physiotherapy. The special part - case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation, contains case history, complex kinesiology examination, prosess of each therapy and final evaluation of its effect. The case study was written during rehabilitation practice in The Military University Hospital. Results: The applied therapeutic care positively contributed to the improved condition of the patient. Keywords: amputation, physiotherapy, peripheral vascular disease of lower extremities, case study
A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation.
Jiskra, Aleš ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Sohrová, Jana (referee)
Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. Objectives: The goal of the study is to summarize the theoretical information and findings about the problematics of amputation, with a focus on above-knee amputation, and further elaborationon a case study concerninga patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge from academic literature about lower limb amputation caused by the peripheral vascular diseases, and a further elaboration on lower limb prosthetics and the rehabilitation care for patients before and after amputation. The practical part consists of a case study about a patient with a diagnosis of unilateral above-knee amputation. It includes medical history, initial kinesiological analysis, therapeutic plan, description of therapeutic units, closing kinesiological analysis and evaluation of the effects of the prescribed therapy. The case study was conducted during a professional physiotherapy practice in Nemocnice Brandýs nad Labem, from 19. 1. 2021 to 1. 2. 2021. Results: Throughout the therapy treatment, some of the patient's problems have significantly improved; there was a decrease in the flexion-abduction...

Kohútová, Andrea ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Hamouzová, Dita (referee)
Author: Andrea Kohútová Title: A case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment Concerning a Patient with Transfemoral Amputation Objectives: The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a case study of physiotherapy treatment concerning a patient with transfemoral amputation and to summarize the theoretical knowledge base corresponding with this diagnosis, its causes and possibilities of rehabilitation treatment. Methods: This bachelor thesis is split into two parts, a theoretical one and a practical one. The main focus of the theoretical part is to establish a brief summary of the anatomy and kinesiology of the lower limb, the theoretical information about amputation and their etiology, the operation techniques and after-surgery complications. It also contains some general findings about lower limb ischemic disease. The first part focuses on the problematics concerning orthopedic prosthetics, subsequent rehabilitation care and physiotherapeutic methods. The second part contains a detailed case study of physiotherapy treatment concerning a patient with transfemoral amputation. This case study includes the anamnesis of the patient, a detailed initial and final complex kinesiology examination, the proposal and aims of the therapy, records of performed individual therapeutic units and an afterwards...
